How
does auto transport process work? After you submit your information
and your deposit to BRFS, the transport of your vehicle will be dispatched. The
dispatched driver and/or his company will contact you to schedule the pick up
of your vehicle. At the time of pick up, a detailed inspection of your vehicle
will be performed and added to the Bill of Lading. You must sign this form and
keep a copy for your records. Upon delivery, you will do your inspection of the
vehicle and compare it to the previous inspection noted of the Bill of Lading.
You will receive a call 12 to 24 hours prior to delivery time.
Is
my vehicle insured? Yes, all carriers are fully insured to
meet all State and Federal requirements. The driver will thoroughly inspect the
vehicle at pick up and delivery. Upon delivery of your vehicle, you must inspect
for any damage that may have occurred during transport. You must document any
damage on the Bill of Lading and obtain the driver's signature. The insurance
company will not process claims if damages are not documented at the time of delivery.
What
is a condition report? The
Condition Report is a part of the Bill of Lading. The Condition Report documents
the condition of your vehicle before it is loaded and transported. You or an authorized
party must confirm the report with your signature and retain a copy for your records.
Claims of damage at destination will be based on the condition of your vehicle,
as reported, before it was transported and are subject to terms and conditions
outlined in your contract with BRFS. What
type of transporter will be used to transport my vehicle? There
are multiple types of professional car carriers, including closed & open,
which used various sizes of car trailers. You may specify your preference of professional
car carriers if any. **additional charges may apply in some situations. What
is the difference between an open and an enclosed carrier? Open
Carriers are the most common and are often seen transporting cars to and from
dealerships. Vehicles that are transported via open car carriers are exposed to
the weather and road conditions. Enclosed Carriers are covered carriers. And,
the vehicles being transported are not exposed to the weather or road conditions.
Enclosed carriers are oftgen requested for the transport of custom, antique, and
classic cars. **additional charges may apply in some situations.
Do
I have to be present when my vehicle is picked up and delivered?
Yes. You must be present during the pickup and delivery of your vehicle, unless
you have previously authorized someone else to act as your signing agent. More
